Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Investment Partner (“Service”) is provided to you (“User”) under these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Investment Partner. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Investment Partner is a Google Workspace Add-on that provides financial data and market information within Google Sheets™. The Service allows users to access stock prices, market capitalizations, financial metrics, and other investment-related data through custom formulas.

3. Free Service

Currently, Investment Partner is provided as a free service. We reserve the right to introduce premium features or subscription plans in the future with appropriate notice to users.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of Investment Partner, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Not use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Not use the Service to create or spread malware
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not attempt to circumvent API rate limits or usage restrictions

5. Account Requirements

To use Investment Partner, you must have a valid Google account and access to Google Sheets™. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials. Investment Partner is not liable for any unauthorized access to your Google account.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of Investment Partner is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy. We collect only anonymous usage data and do not access your personal information or spreadsheet contents beyond inserting requested formulas.

7. Intellectual Property

Investment Partner and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Investment Partner and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without explicit permission.

8. Financial Data Disclaimer

The financial data provided by Investment Partner is for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial advice. We strive to provide accurate and timely information but do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data provided. You should not make investment decisions solely based on the information provided by this Service.

Investment Partner is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. The Service does not provide investment advice or recommendations. All investment decisions are your sole responsibility.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain the availability of our Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance periods, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, or external API limitations. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

10. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Investment Partner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
• Any bugs, viruses, or similar that may be transmitted through the Service
• Any financial losses resulting from investment decisions based on Service data

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the Service or Google Workspace Marketplace notifications. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may also discontinue use at any time by uninstalling the add-on.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada.

14. Compliance with Google Policies

Investment Partner complies with Google Workspace Marketplace Developer Terms and Google API Services User Data Policy. The Service respects user privacy and follows Google’s data handling requirements.
